What are Workplace Wellness Programs all about?

Workplace wellness programs are designed to help you move ahead with the skills and information needed to translate knowledge into action. Here's where the foundation of real change strengthens. They range from single session 'fundamentals' talks to a 3 or 6-part skill development series'. Or another option is to hold a yearly mini Wellness Fair that displays information and promotes and samples different natural ways and tools to be proactive and preventative in your heath and wellbeing.

An article entitled Overweight And Obesity Linked To Increased Short-Term Disabilitypublished in the November 2006 Journal of Occupational and Environmental Medicine concludes “Successful weight management & wellness initiatives should reduce short-term disability expenditures, improve worker productivity, and lessen the indirect costs associated with overweight and obesity.” A healthy workforce means less sick days, higher productivity, and less stressed employees.

Karen specializes in educating individuals to honour themselves through making wise nutritional choices, assisting them through being ‘stuck’ in their life and coaching them on how to see things in a positive light  to encourage and inspire change, growth and overall vitality and wellbeing.


Karen worked in the fast paced telecommunication field for 14 years as a Company Trainer, District Sales Manager and an Area Manager leading her teams in sales, marketing and training.  She decided to change direction into the health and wellness field and went back to school full time to study nutrition, yoga and meditation.  Realizing the knowledge she was armed with she began to share and assist others in a wellness path.  She opened her own company in 2005 as a Holistic Health Practioner and knows this is her true passion and purpose.
