De-stressing Programs

#1. Are you in the right job for you?   Having a job that you enjoy and that can support a good life/work balance is a perfect way to feel happier and experience less stress

#2.  Get things done.  Do not procrastinate, that only creates more worry and stressful experience.  If you need to write things down in order to get them off your plate, then do it.  Keep the to-do-it lists to a minimum

#3.  Create boundaries for yourself.  Set a start and a quit time for your work duties.  Ensure there is ME time scheduled into your day and week.  It is easy to see someone stressed out and to notice the signs - look at yourself...do you exhibit any of those signs?

#4.  Exercise and eat well.  Nothing can compare to a healthy lifestyle, a healthy body is a healthy mind as well.  Choose an exercise routine that you ensure and look forward to doing.  Yoga is a great form of exercise and wellness practice that will wipe your stress slate clean. Try walking at lunch, always taking the stairs instead of the elevator. Eat healthy foods, have more vegetables and fruits, and eat less processed and refind foods and drink plenty of water.  It works!!

#5.  Clear out the junk.  Organize your life!  It feels so good to be in and live in a place that is clear of clutter - it is very symbolic to a clear mind.  Tidy up your desk, clean your drawers, organize your closets.  It works wonders! 

#6.  Take time for yourself, make sure you take your vacation days.  Get away from work on a regular basis.  Don't work through a weekend.  Try to take a day off a week in the summer- perhaps your company will give you Friday's or Wednesdays off over the summer instead of taking a full 5 days in a row.
